Biography
Gheorghe Pop is a clinical cardiologist, who finished medical school and got a degree in philosophy as well. He finished his medical PhD in 1992 at the Thoraxcenter in Rotterdam on the relation between heart and brain in patients with stroke. He co-founded a start-up company in 2000 to develop an on-line blood viscosity measurement technique and published more than 50 papers in reputed journals. He was also involved in several large clinical trials and is actually working at the Radboud University Medical Center in Nijmegen, The Netherlands.
