Biography
Dr. Stefan Dübel is Chair of Biotechnology and Director of the respective department at the Technische Universität Braunschweig, Germany. He further serves as director of the technology transfer unit "Centre for Molecular Engineering" of iTUBSmbH. Prof. Dübel serves in boards of scientific journals and as consultant to biotech and pharma companies. Further, he is initiator of the "Antibody factory" of the German National Gemome Research Network and editor of the four volume "Handbook of Therapeutic Antibodies" and other antibody engineering books. He is co-founder of several biotech companies, most recently of the human antibody provider Yumab GmbH

Biography
Dr. Dongyang Li is a Professor at University of Alberta. His interests of research include surface science & engineering, nano-materials, tribology, computational materials science, and biomedical engineering. Dr. Li obtained a B.Sc. in Solid Mechanics from University of Science and Technology China (1982), a M.Sc. in Solid-State Physics from Zhongshan University (1985), a PhD in Materials Physics from University of Science and Technology Beijing (1990) and a PhD in Metallurgical Engineering from McGill University (1995). Before joining U of Alberta in 1998, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Pennsylvania State University (1995 – 97). He is an Adjunct Professor in Dept. of Biomedical Engineering, U. of Alberta, a visiting professor at the National University of Singapore (2004, 2012) and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2011), a visiting scientist in the Biophysics Lab of National Institute of Communication Technology (2005, Japan), and a foreign doctoral advisor at the Harbin Institute of Technology. Dr. Li is on the editorial board for eleven technical journals, and has in excess of three hundred technical publications.

Biography
Distinguished Professor Dr. Digvir Jayas was educated at the G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology in Pantnagar, India; the University of Manitoba, and the University of Saskatchewan. Before assuming the position of Vice-President (Research and International), he held the position of Vice-President (Research) for two years and Associate Vice-President (Research) for eight years. Prior to his appointment as Associate Vice-President (Research), he was Associate Dean (Research) in the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences, Department Head of Biosystems Engineering, and Interim Director of the Richardson Centre for Functional Foods and Nutraceuticals. He is a Registered Professional Engineer and a Registered Professional Agrologist.
Research Interest
Dr. Jayas held a Canada Research Chair in Stored-Grain Ecosystems for seven years. He conducts research related to drying, handling and storing grains and oilseeds and digital image processing for grading and processing operations in the Agri-Food industry. He has authored or co-authored over 800 technical articles in scientific journals, conference proceedings and books dealing with issues of storing, drying, handling and quality monitoring of grains. He has collaborated with researchers in several countries but has had significant impact on development of efficient grain storage, handling and drying systems in Canada, China, India, Ukraine and USA.
