Biosensors in Drug Delivery


Implantable and portable biosensors for drug delivery provide self-monitoring and increased patients' compliance. Biosensors are, by definition, sensing devices comprising a biological element enzyme, antibody, animal or plant cell, oligonucleotide, lipid, microorganisms) intimately related to a physical transducer (electrode, optical fibre, vibrating quartz, etc.).
